What a workspace is
A workspace holds cloud drawings, folders, and members in Deta. Open one under Workspaces in the sidebar.
You can work alone or invite teammates. Deta calls a workspace a Team in its creation, settings, and invitation controls.
Your Deta account is your sign-in and profile. Each workspace has its own members and settings; joining one does not give its members access to your other workspaces.
Who has access
- Workspace members can access all files in that workspace, including its folders’ contents. Invite members when someone needs access across a project.
- Individual sharing gives someone access to one drawing. Use its
Share dialog for this.
Workspace membership does not grant access to your Dropbox or Google Drive account. Sharing a file through either provider does not add someone to your Deta workspace.
For how local files and connected sources relate to workspaces, see Where your files live.
