The Point Tool lets you place point markers on a PDF as annotations. It also counts, allowing you to track items like fixtures and doors or make punch lists. Points mark locations, highlight details, or serve as visual references during review.
Step 1: Open the Point Tool and Create a Point
To get started with PDF point annotations, locate the Point Tool, represented by a point icon, in the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Click the icon to activate the tool.
Shortcut: P
With the Point Tool active, you can annotate your PDF with points and start counting objects or marking locations:
- Click anywhere on the PDF or canvas to place a point.
Each click adds one point of annotation.
Step 2: Move the Point
- Move: Click and drag the point to reposition it on the canvas.
Step 3: Delete the Point
- Desktop: Select the point and press the Delete key.
- iPad: Select the point and tap the trash icon at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Customize the Point
Customizing point annotations helps them stand out. This feature is especially useful for complex reviews or for distinguishing different punch list items.
- With the point selected, click the Properties icon on the right side of the screen.
- You can adjust:
- Stroke (Border): color, weight, opacity
- Fill: color, opacity
- Point Size: size
