How to extract PDF pages into a separate file

Before you start

Open Pages in the right panel. Extraction downloads a separate PDF using your Export PDF settings.

Steps

1. Select the pages to extract.
2. Right-click a selected thumbnail and choose Extract.
3. Check the page numbers, or use Choose pages myself… to enter a range such as 1-3, 7. Numbers follow the current page order.
4. To remove the extracted pages from the source, check Also remove these … pages from this document. Otherwise, leave it unchecked.
5. Click Extract to download the new PDF.

Check your result

Open the downloaded PDF and check its pages and markups. If you used Also remove, save or export the changed source separately.

Troubleshooting

• Markups are missing from the downloaded file: open Export / Print in the header and check the Export PDF options before extracting again.
• Also remove is unavailable: you need edit permission, and the source document must retain at least one page. You can still extract a copy.
