Steps
Connect your account
- In Deta's sidebar, move over File sources and click
(Connect a source).
- Choose
Google Drive.

- Choose the Google account you want to connect. Follow the sign-in prompts, then click Allow on Deta's access request.
- Return to Deta. The account now appears under File sources.
Open a PDF
- Select your
account under File sources, then click Import. Google's file picker opens. - Search for your PDF or browse its folder. Select the PDF, then click Select. Deta opens the drawing when the import finishes.

Use Imported to reopen drawings you have already brought into Deta, or Import to choose another PDF in Google’s picker.
Find the synced source
Open Versions on the right of the viewer. The
Google Drive logo beside the version number identifies the source. Its Synced layer shows the connected PDF.
The drawing stays linked to its source. See Synchronization for how source changes become new versions.
Troubleshooting
- The picker does not open: allow the requested popup, then click Import again. If it cannot open in the desktop app, continue the import in your browser.
- The Google Drive session has expired: connect the same Google account again, then retry.
- The connection limit is reached: open Plan & Usage to review your current plan and available connections.
