v0.8.7 keeps your version tree intact when the source file changes out from under it — replaced, moved, or saved as a new revision.
Relink source
- Relink any synced drawing — Point it at a new file in Google Drive, Dropbox, or on your device; every existing version and markup stays in the tree, and the new file imports as the next version
- Replaced-file detection — When a source file is moved to trash or replaced (a common side effect of copying over files in the OS file explorer), Deta warns you on the synced layer and offers Relink right from the toast
- RevB workflows — Keep issuing revisions as separate files (Plan_RevA.pdf, Plan_RevB.pdf) and relink between them while one drawing carries the whole history
- Names follow the source — A relinked drawing adopts the new file's name; each version still remembers the file it came from
Desktop
- Relink local files — The desktop app opens your OS file picker at the old file's folder and relinks in place, including files that moved or were renamed on disk
- Moved-file detection — Drawings whose local file no longer exists at its last known location now say so, instead of silently failing to sync
